ABOUT SIMONE
I am Simone Mitchell and I am a professional triathlete. I have been involved in triathlon since starting in 2012. I raced as an age group athlete becoming 70.3 Ironman World Champion, European Champion and coming 2nd Overall at Ironman Lanzarote in 2018. I turned professional in 2019 and in my first race as a pro won Ironman Wales, breaking both the bike and course record. Last year I did not race sadly due to the pandemic. I am very excited about 2021 and looking forward to getting back out racing.
I studied to become a triathlon coach in 2013. I originally come from a Strength & Conditioning background studying under Paul Check, I now have over 10 years’ experience as a Personal trainer. I have developed my coaching expertise working with professionals such as the amazing world renowned cycling health / performance innovator and physiotherapist Phil Burt.
With my own coaching supported by Dr Andy Kirkland ph.D an expert in endurance coaching.
Along with offering one-to-one coaching in triathlon training I can offer one-to-one coaching in Strength & Conditioning and also Pilates. I studied my Pilates qualification under STOTT in 2015.
Both strength & conditioning / Pilates are incredibly important in your triathlon training. Keeping the body in balance is a must to maintain training load and avoid injury. S&C / Pilates will help strengthen, lengthen and keep the body flexible to avoid injury and maintain consistent training which is the fundamental way of reaching your goals.
